We are a Whitehorse, Yukon based prefab construction company. We build residential projects ranging from custom and spec homes to multi-family town house developments. We have contracts around Yukon in many different communities.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Journeyman Carpenter / Finishing Carpenter to join our team in Whitehorse, Yukon. The successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of framing, finishing, and detailed carpentry work across various residential and multi-family housing projects. This role demands precision, problem-solving, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings
  • Perform all aspects of residential carpentry including framing, flooring, cabinetry, doors, trim, and other finishing components
  • Install windows, doors, baseboards, crown moldings, and other interior/exterior finishing elements
  • Repair, maintain, and renovate structures and components as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper storage of materials and tools
  • Work independently or as part of a team under the direction of Site Foremen or the Construction Manager
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and participate in toolbox talks and hazard assessments
  • Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
  • Mentor and support apprentices and labourers when required

Qualifications & Skills

  • Red Seal Certification or Journeyman status in Carpentry (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of residential carpentry experience, including finishing
  • Proficiency in the safe use of hand and power tools
  • Strong understanding of the BC Building Code and Yukon construction practices
  • High attention to detail with finishing work and craftsmanship
  • Physically capable of lifting materials, working on ladders, and in a range of weather conditions
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude
