TRRC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Teslin RRC is the voice for residents of the Teslin Tlingit Traditional Territory in managing renewable resources, such as fish, wildlife, habitat and forestry matters. The Council was established as per the Teslin Tlingit Council Final Agreement. We provide input into planning and regulation processes by raising public awareness of specific issues and by providing local and traditional information. The Council also plays an important advisory role to territorial, federal and First Nations governments and the Yukon Fish & Wildlife Management Board.

The Council is looking for a person who is great at multitasking to run our office for up to 30 hours per week.

Qualifications:

Organization skills – coordinate meetings, travel, catering

Office skills – correspondence, filing, annual reports, minute taking

Computer skills – Office, Outlook, Excel, internet research

Communication skills – oral and writing

Ability to work independently and as part of the team

Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment

Understanding of day-to-day financials

Ability to take minutes at meetings.
