Reporting to the Custodial Supervisor, the custodial worker is required to assist in maintaining the Teslin Tlingit Council government building at the Healing Centre accordance with standards established by the TTC. This position is responsible for the security of the above-mentioned buildings and by doing so, may include shift work.
Job Knowledge & Main Duties
- Grade 12 with experience in custodial services
- Knowledge of TTC policies and procedures
- Ability to operate custodial equipment
- Ability to perform heavy cleaning duties ie., washing, waxing
- Knowledge of product and equipment safety, ie. WHIMIS 2015
- Performs a variety of cleaning duties in offices, washrooms, public and other areas throughout TTC office buildings using a variety of aids, tools or power operated equipment
Education & Experience
- Ability to manage work load
- Organizational & Time Management skills
- Inventory management
- Preventative maintenance management
- Good communication skills
- Cross cultural awareness
Conditions of Employment
