Task description:
Main role is to engage with service users by using active listening skills and connect them with the appropriate internal or external resources.

Responsibilities:
Maintains a safe and welcoming place women & non-binary people can access during drop-in opening hours.

Maintaining a clean common area, organizing, and distributing food, tidying the VFCW Free Store and Food Cache, and supporting service users with access to internet, computer, phone, and distributing bus-tickets.
Interacting with children

Skills needed:
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to use a smart phone
Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care considered an asset but can be trained
Experience with infants and children considered an asset
Current Foodsafe certification Considered an asset
Current first-aid certification considered an asset

Time commitment:
Seeking for the following shifts:
Fridays: 1-4 PM, 4 - 8 PM, and Saturdays 4-8 PM

We require 1-4 hr Training shift.

Commitment is 16 hrs in 3 months although other time commitments can be discussed.
