Food Services Manager - Senior Living

The opportunity
At Normandy, meals are more than a service. They are part of residents’ daily routine, health, independence, and quality of life. The Food Services Manager leads the kitchen and dining operation that brings that experience to life every day.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can run a reliable food service operation while never losing sight of the people being served. You will lead the team, maintain strong food safety and service standards, manage the systems and resources behind the operation, and help create a dining experience residents can look forward to and depend on.

- Residents enjoy dependable, well-prepared meals and a dining experience that supports dignity, choice, and quality of life.
- Kitchen and dining operations run smoothly, with consistent standards across preparation, service, and cleanup.
- The food services team is well led, trained, supported, and accountable for strong performance.
- Food safety, sanitation, dietary, CARF, and regulatory standards are consistently maintained.
- MealSuite information, dietary needs, preferences, and service requirements are accurate and support reliable meal service.
- Inventory, ordering, food use, and operating costs are well managed, supporting quality service and responsible use of resources.
What you bring to the role
- Experience leading food service operations in hospitality, seniors living, institutional food service, or a related setting.
- Strong leadership, coaching, training, and performance management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, dietary requirements, allergens, and compliance.
- Strong organization and ability to maintain consistent service in a busy environment.
- Financial discipline of inventory, food use, labour, and operating efficiency.
- Professional communication and ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, and other departments.
- Sound judgment and ability to remain calm when needs or situations change.
- Experience with food service or menu management systems; MealSuite experience is an asset.

Job Requirements:
- Ability to perform regular physical duties in an active kitchen and dining environment, including standing, walking, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Conditions of Employment:
- Satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
- WHMIS
- CPR and First Aid or willingness to obtain post-hire
