Position Title: Cashier (NOC: 65100)

Number of Positions Available: 1

Term of Employment: Permanent Position, 40 hours per week

Location of Work: 92166 Alaska Hwy, Whitehorse, YT, Y1A3Y8

Wage: $23.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience.

Language Requirements: English

Responsibilities:

Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.

Provide professional and courteous customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Count and balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to maintain accuracy and accountability.

Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and presentable store environment.

Maintain gas-bar dip readings and ensure fuel price information is accurate and up to date.

Change fuel prices as required using the applicable software and maintain accurate records of fuel price changes using Microsoft Excel.

Register arriving motel guests, assign rooms, manage room bookings, and respond to guest inquiries.

Manage weekly liquor orders and ensure required inventory is properly ordered and maintained.

Process lottery orders and assist with the proper handling and management of lottery products.

Work days, evenings, weekends, and flexible shifts as required to meet operational and business needs.

Assist customers with the RV sanitary dump station during the summer season.

Perform other general retail, gas-bar, motel, and customer service duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

1 year to less than 2 years of cashier, retail customer service or gas station experience.

High school diploma.

Strong customer service skills and communication skills.

Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and flexible shifts as required.

Experience with gas-bar operations, fuel pricing systems, lottery, or liquor sales is an asset.
