The opportunity

Our Whitehorse hotel portfolio brings together two very different properties: the new 115-room Hyatt Place Whitehorse and the long-standing Best Western Gold Rush Inn in the heart of downtown. Across both, great housekeeping is one of the things guests notice immediately.

As a Housekeeper, you help create the clean, comfortable, and welcoming rooms guests expect when they walk through the door. You will work as part of a hotel team where your attention to detail, pace, and reliability have a visible impact every shift.

What does your success look like?

• Guests arrive to rooms that are clean, comfortable, well presented, and ready on time.
• Rooms and assigned hotel spaces consistently meet cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards.
• Daily assignments are completed efficiently without sacrificing quality.
• Guest requests, room issues, and maintenance concerns are communicated quickly.
• Housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance teams work well together to keep the guest experience moving.
• You are a reliable teammate who contributes to a respectful, organized, and productive work environment.

What you bring to the role

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, or related experience is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in doing work well.
• Ability to work at a steady pace and complete assigned rooms within expected timelines.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and follow-through.
• Respectful and professional communication with guests and coworkers.
• Willingness to learn and consistently follow hotel cleaning, safety, and room standards.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform regular physical work including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing and pulling housekeeping carts, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
