Recycling Collector – Whitehorse Blue Bin Recycling (WBBR)
Permanent Position | 30–40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $23.00/hour (increase after probation)
Whitehorse Blue Bin Recycling (WBBR) is seeking a reliable and hardworking Recycling Collector to join our team. This role involves residential and commercial recycling pickup.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect recycling from residential and commercial clients.
- Load and unload materials from the transport vehicle.
- Work independently and with fellow employees while maintaining strong communication with management and clients.
- Fill out all the necessary paperwork as required.
- Represent WBBR professionally in the community.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Comfortable driving a cube van.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in all weather conditions, including cold weather.
- Enjoys physical, outdoor work in all seasons.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Punctual, dependable, and professional with clients.
- Must be able to work in a Team with other staff or contractors.
- Able to work safely, following proper lifting techniques, traffic safety rules, and company safety procedures at all times.
- Good knowledge of Whitehorse geography is an asset.
- Valid Work Permit Required.
