Experienced Weekend Kitchen Helper (Prep-Focused)

This is a prep-focused kitchen role. Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on food preparation, organized kitchen flow, and being part of a busy café team!

Bean North is a busy, community-driven café and coffee roastery known for quality food, great coffee, and a strong team culture. We’re looking for a Kitchen Helper who enjoys working with food and wants to be part of a well-run kitchen.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing ingredients for daily service (chopping, portioning, assembling)
• Making sandwiches and assisting with light baking and food prep
• Supporting catering prep and kitchen production
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
• Assisting with dishes and general kitchen upkeep as needed
• Receiving and storing deliveries properly

What we’re looking for:

• Reliable and shows up ready to work, every shift
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail and food quality
• Able to work on your feet and lift up to 25 lbs
• Previous kitchen or food prep experience required
• Must have reliable transportation (vehicle required, as public transit options are limited)
