Role Overview

we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help sell cash raffle tickets starting in late September to mid November in support of ElderActive Recreation. Volunteers can sell tickets independently withing their own networks as well as participate in scheduled ticket sales tables at local venues. This is a flexible volunteer opportunity – help as much or as little as your schedule allows. Volunteers will help promote, sell tickets, and connect with community members while supporting ElderActive programs and services.

Responsibilities

Sell cash raffle tickets independently within your personal and community networks.
Sell cash raffle tickets at schedules tables at local venues and events
Promote the raffle and encourage community participation
Keep track of tickets sold and return completed ticket stubs and funds to ElderActive office.
Follow ElderActive’s raffle sales procedures and guidelines
Communicate with ElderActive staff regarding ticket supplies, sales and questions
Represent ElderActive in a friendly, positive and professional manner.

Experience and Skills

Friendly, approachable and comfortable talking to people.
Reliable and responsible when handling cash and raffle tickets.
Comfortable working independently and with a team.
Good communication and basic organizational skills.
Willingness to promote the raffle
Previous sales, fundraising, or volunteer experience is an asset but not required.

Estimated Time Commitment

Independent sales are very flexible to your schedule.
Table sales shifts are about 2 hours.
