Cinema Operations Manager
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Yukon Theatre. This role is key in managing the venue, coordinating staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and facility upkeep, and ensuring an exceptional experience for all patrons.
The Theatre Operations Manager will report to the YFS Executive & Artistic Director and will also work as a team with the programmers, admin staff, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver community-minded and professional film, media, and performing arts programming while maximizing operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing staff in a customer service setting and event production management experience.
This position is for 30-35 hours per week. Evenings and weekend work will be required on a regular basis.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The Yukon Film Society operates the historic Yukon Cinema and media art centre based on the traditional territories of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council and the Kwanlin Dün First Nation in Whitehorse. YFS supports media art creation with equipment and artistic development; presents cinema, exhibitions, the Available Light Film Festival and performances; and distributes Yukon film and media art in partnership with KIAC through the streaming service: Available Light on Demand.
