Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing SDC’s property investments, managing major capital projects, and supporting operations teams in Pelly Crossing. The role provides leadership to managers and staff across multiple SDC business units, ensures safe and effective operations, oversees building and property maintenance, and acts as the owner’s representative on major construction projects. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and plays a key role in operational planning, project execution, and organizational performance.
Education/Experience:
- Diploma or degree in a field relevant to operations, construction, business, or property management, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three years’ experience in supervisory or leadership roles.
- Minimum one year of experience working on capital projects.
- Minimum one year of experience in building or property maintenance roles.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, or working toward it, is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Digital fluency and ability to use software programs and digital tools.
- Ability to travel frequently to Pelly Crossing and other SDC locations.
