Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team who can work 40 hours a week. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. You will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, provide individualized attention to each child, and foster their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and a genuine love for working with young children.

Job Requirements:

- Certificate and /or degree in Early Childhood Education or in a related field

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children

- Experience in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons

- Has current Standard First Aid with CPR certification

- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education best practices

- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children

- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each child

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand, sit, and move around for extended periods of time

- Lift and carry children, as needed

- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel to interact with children at their level

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans

- Provide a variety of learning experiences to promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development

- Create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence

- Assists and guides the children to proper eating, dressing, and toileting

- Promotes positive interactions and behaviour guidance and direction with the ongoing supervision of the classroom, playground, group/individual routine activities
