Local Rental Solutions Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hardworking Equipment Service Attendant to join our team in Whitehorse. This is a hands-on position responsible for keeping our rental equipment clean, serviced, safe, and ready to go for our customers.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail, and is comfortable working around a wide variety of equipment. Mechanical experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on rental equipment
- Grease equipment and perform regular oil and filter changes
- Check fluid levels, tires, tracks, belts, hoses, and other basic components
- Clean and thoroughly inspect equipment when it returns from rental
- Prepare and clean equipment prior to being rented back out
- Identify damage, wear, or mechanical issues and report them to the service manager
- Ensure equipment is in safe, clean, and presentable condition before leaving the yard
- Assist with minor repairs and general equipment maintenance
- Keep the shop, service areas, and equipment yard clean and organized
- Help load and unload equipment as required
- Assist other team members with general yard and shop duties
- Follow company safety procedures and proper equipment servicing practices
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience with equipment, mechanics, automotive, construction, or a similar field is an asset
- Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Good communication and organizational skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
