Job Requirements:
• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: One year experience
• Supervision Ability: 3-4 people
• Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions:

Job Duties:
- Read specifications and determine the appropriate materials, colours, and finishes for painting projects
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and holes, and removing old paint
- Mix and match paint, stains, and other coatings to achieve the required colour and consistency
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting equipment
- Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, siding, and other interior and exterior surfaces
- Apply primers, sealers, and protective coatings as required
- Protect furniture, floors, windows, and other surfaces from paint and damage
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and swing stages safely when working at heights
- Inspect completed work and touch up areas as required
- Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work independently and as part of a team on residential and commercial construction sites
- Supervise a small team of painters as needed
Additional Information:
- Must be able to handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Work may take place on residential and commercial sites
