Position

The Customer Relations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting daily office operations while building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This position combines administrative responsibilities with proactive customer outreach to ensure exceptional service, encourage repeat business, and identify opportunities to grow sales.

The ideal candidate is organized, personable, confident communicating with customers, and enjoys building relationships over the phone. They are comfortable reaching out to both existing and prospective customers, following up on customer needs, and promoting products and services while providing outstanding administrative support.

Monday to Friday - 80 Hours Bi-Weekly (40 hrs. per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Make regular outbound calls to current customers to maintain relationships and encourage repeat business.
  • Contact prospective customers to introduce products, generate new sales opportunities, and expand the customer base.
  • Enter customer orders and prepare quotes accurately
  • Send out order confirmation emails
  • Handle invoicing, process payments and maintain organized filing systems
  • Send out reminders to customers regarding upcoming ordering deadlines for Nestle, Harlan’s, etc.
  • Assist with the showroom and support the preparation of equipment and smallware quotes.
  • Follow up on quotes, inquiries, and previous purchases to close sales.
  • Check in with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify upcoming product needs.
  • Monitor customer purchasing activity and identify products that have stopped moving or declined in sales.
  • Reach out to customers to promote slow-moving or underperforming products and recommend suitable alternatives or promotions.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products based on customer needs.
  • Work closely with the sales and warehouse teams to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up schedules.
  • Resolve customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Provide market feedback, customer insights, and product trends to management.
  • Assist with sales campaigns, promotions, and customer retention initiatives.
  • Meet established sales, customer contact, and follow-up targets.
  • Participate in maintaining a clean and organized front reception area and office spaces, including shared facilities such as bathrooms and lunchrooms.

Experience, Education & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in Sales, Customer Service or Account Management is preferred
  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration or Management is not required, but would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Sage and Scanforce
  • Competent with computers and Microsoft Office software
  • Food Safe and WHMIS are required. Training will be provided after 3 months of work, if the employee is not certified.
  • First Aid would be an asset
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Wage $24.00 - $26.00, depending on experience
