Department: Lands and Natural Resources

Status: Full-Time Term (October 30, 2026)

Salary: C/TFN Wage Scale Level 2 ($29.99p/hr-37.94p/hr)

Closing Date: August 18^th, 2026

This posting is to fill five (5) full-time term positions. This is a two-week posting scheduled to close August 18^th, 2026. Candidates are encouraged not to delay submitting their application. Resumes will be regularly screened until the position is closed.

Your Role

Reports to the FireSmart Crew Leader and work as part of the C/TFN FireSmart crew to support the wildfire preparedness and prevention.

Your Benefits

This position does not include traditional benefits. However, in lieu of benefits, you will receive an additional 6% of your salary with each pay cheque.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Vegetation management, including failing and bucking tees, brushing, and pruning.
• Stacking logs and burning and removing brush.
• Gear maintenance, including daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and general maintenance.
• Maintaining record of use of all equipment, vehicles, and their maintenance
• Chainsaw safety certification

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Suitability

• Chainsaw Safety Certificate
• Experience using a chainsaw
• Reliable and punctual
• Work well as part of a team
• A Valid Drivers Licence is considered an asset
• Valid first aid training or willingness to participate in first aid training
• Ability to conduct physically demanding work and lift up to 50lbs
• Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
• Bear aware

Conditions of Employment

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Chainsaw certificate
• Valid first aid training, or willingness to participate in First Aid Training
