Mechanic
We are looking for a versatile mechanic capable of handling everything from small engines and light automotive to heavy duty MCI motor coaches.
Located in Dawson City, Yukon
Full-time, year-round, permanent position // Indoor work in a heated shop
Salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications
The successful individual needs to be an experienced problem solver and independent worker, able to adapt to new challenges, and comfortable with a wide variety of mechanical-related tasks.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Red seal certification (or equivalent experience) in at least one of the following: Truck and Transport Mechanic, Automotive Service Technician, or Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician.
- Strong trouble shooting and diagnostic skills. Valid driver’s license (class 5 min.)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a small shop
ADDITIONAL ASSETS:
- Hands-on experience with small engines including pumps, generators, snow machines, etc
- Commercial vehicle inspection (CVIP) certification. Air brakes and class 2 driver’s license
- Experience working with heavy duty, diesel, and commercial vehicles
