Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Property Services, the Assets Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and coordinating the Assets Management Program of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations. The primary roles of the Assets Manager include; the establishment of a comprehensive Assets Management Software System, the preparation of CAFN Asset Policies and Procedures, the development of; Annual Work-Plans and budgets, a Five-Year Strategic Lifecycle Plan and a long-term Forecasting Plan with financial projections. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met, and that CAFN’s Annual Audits accurately reflect CAFN’s assets. Further, on an oversight and supervisory basis, the Assets Manager ensures that Assets Management staff; maintain the Assets Management Software System, perform asset inventory audits, manage asset performance and security risks, establish and meet maintenance and lifecycle schedules, arrange inspections and valuations, prepare specialized asset reports, perform research and provide procurement recommendations, and arrange for the proper and timely disposition of de-commissioned and surplus assets.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in either Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology or a related discipline, and a minimum of five years of work experience, or an acceptable combination of education, training, knowledge, skills and experience.
Conditions of Employment:

• Valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license.
• Willing and able to travel to CAFN communities.
• Willingness to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Extended workdays may be required to accomplish tasks and meet workload demands during peak periods or for urgent dead-lines, as directed.
