Duties
You will manage a range of financial and administrative services, offering guidance to senior management. This is a medium-sized, moderately complex field unit where you will lend your expertise to operations throughout the territory.

Intent of the process
This process is intended to staff one (1) 6-month term position with the possibility of extension.

📆 Target Assessment dates: End of August 2026

This process may be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels or linguistic requirements in same or other parts of the country.

💰 Isolated Post Allowances: approximately $7 936 to $10 604 per year
✈️ Vacation Travel Assistance: approximately $831.60 per year for each eligible member of the household.

Travel cost for individuals who are not Federal Public Servants will not be covered.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

• Mobility, usually associated with a driver's license, to travel to different work sites or possess and maintain a valid Yukon Class 5 driver's license or equivalent.
• When the position is located in an area classed as isolated and remote, a pre-employment medical examination of an individual and the individual's dependants may be required.

Operational Requirements

• Willingness to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required
• Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment

🎓 EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to position in the CT-FIN group.

OR

Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation (i.e. CA, CMA, CGA or CPA) with experience related to positions in the CT-FIN group.

💼 EXPERIENCE

• Significant* experience managing the delivery of financial and administrative services (such as budget management, salary management, accounts receivable, material management, conducting financial analyses and reports, and record management).
• Significant* experience preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial management reports and conducting financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and costing.
• Experience effectively leading and coaching staff in an inclusive and respectful manner.
• Significant* experience providing strategic advice on financial policies, directives, and guidelines to a wide variety of stakeholders.

* Significant experience is defined as being one in which a person's primary responsibilities include these duties and refers to the breadth and depth as well as complexity of tasks that could be expected to have been obtained by carrying out the functions over at least 2 years.
