Mobile Maintenance Services is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in Whitehorse, YT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily machine shop operations
• Plan, prioritize, and oversee machining projects
• Support and mentor machinists and apprentices
• Ensure quality control and accuracy of completed work
• Assist with estimating, job planning, and production scheduling
• Maintain safe and efficient shop practices
• Operate and oversee a variety of machining and fabrication equipment
• Help improve processes and workflow within the machine shop

Capabilities:

• Red Seal certification preferred
• Strong machining experience and technical knowledge
• Have a good understanding of C.O.R and safe work practices.
• Experience leading a team or managing shop operations is an asset
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Valid commercial license, and reliable transportation required
• First Aid, WHMIS, TDG and any other certifications are beneficial.
  
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines, while being flexible with the ability to prioritize a changing work load.
