Arcrite Northern Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our growing team in Whitehorse. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced office environment.

Position Summary

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role works closely with management to ensure invoices, payments, payroll information, and financial records are processed accurately and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable
    • Process supplier invoices
    • Match purchase orders and packing slips
    • Prepare payment runs
    • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Prepare customer invoices
    • Process payments
    • Follow up on outstanding accounts
    • Maintain customer account records
  • Banking
    • Prepare bank deposits
    • Assist with monthly bank reconciliations
  • Payroll
    • Payroll preparation and completion
    • Maintain employee records
    • Process timesheets
  • Job Progression Reporting
    • o Monthly reporting on all job progress
  • Has previous bookkeeping or accounting experience (must)
  • Administrative Support
    • Filing and maintaining accounting records
    • Data entry
    • Answering phones and assisting customers when required
    • General office administration
  • Month-End Support
    • Assist with reconciliations
    • Prepare reports
    • Support year-end accounting processes

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Is highly organized
  • Can manage multiple priorities
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with Sage 50 is considered an asset.
