What’s YESAB?
The Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) is an independent body established under the Umbrella Final Agreement and YESAA legislation in 2003. YESAB conducts environmental and socio-economic assessments of projects before they are approved by the governing body. Our purpose is to conduct neutral, timely, efficient, and effective environmental and socio-economic assessments in the Yukon.

Eligibility
- Experience with office administration, managing multiple priorities, providing excellent customer service, and working independently and as part of a team.
- A self-starter and proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
- General understanding of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Act, Yukon First Nations agreements, and office administrative procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communication, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with databases and software (e.g., Verifyle, Microsoft Office, mapping software).
- Valid Class 5 Yukon Driver’s License required.
The Administrative and Assessment Assistant, reporting to the Assessment District Manager, will be a part of the YESAB’s Mayo Designated Office team. The Administrative and Assessment Assistant is responsible for:
- Managing calls, visitors, mail, petty cash, and maintaining and filing public information in YESAB's Online Registry (YOR).
- Posting public notices, conducting project proposal checks, creating map packages for assessments, and performing project file audits.
- Coordinating administrative tasks such as submitting requests, travel, and staff expense claims, as well as managing office supplies.
- Provide logistical arrangements, organize meetings and events, facilitate orientation for new staff, and support other AAA positions and DO functions as needed.
