Hvactech Systems Inc. is seeking an Metalworking and Forging Worker (NOCC 94105) to join our established Mechanical Contracting organization. In this position, the Metalworking and Forging Worker would work under multiply journeyman, alongside other apprentices, and form part of a team responsible for the installation and repair of commercial HVAC and alternative energy equipment and systems in the metal department.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, career orientated, have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

To the Metalworking and Forging Worker, we offer: $30hr

  • RRSP/TSFA Contribution $4.00 per hour after probation
  • Comprehensive Medical / Dental Plan ($1.00 per hr) after probation
  • 2 Weeks Paid holidays and vacation after 1st year employment

We offer full mechanical installations and service with a full fabrication shop in house. Our Company employs red seal technicians in HVAC/R, Sheetmetal, Plumbing, Oil Burner, Welding as well as Gas Fitter B.

Principal Responsibilities, Duties & Tasks for the Metalworking and Forging Metal Worker include:

  • Operate machines that shape and form sheet or other light metals into parts or products.
  • May clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment, replacing parts as needed.
  • Typically employed in sheet metal products manufacturing companies, sheet metal shops, and other light metal product establishments.
  • Progression opportunities include structural metal fabricator or supervisory roles with experience
  • Operate forging machines to form and shape metal into various shapes and sizes, imparting desired strength, hardness, or other characteristics.
  • Assisting with project requirements according to blueprint, drawing and written or verbal instructions
  • Transportation of materials and equipment
  • Effective critical thinking, problem solving and proficiency in mathematics/clear communication skills.
  • Maintaining a high standard of customer service and relations as a member of our team
    • Additional duties as assigned.

The Metal Department provides services to facilities consisting of, but not limited to: Replacement of HVAC/R equipment, chimneys/venting, heat pumps, AHUs, RTUs, exhaust systems, ERVs and sheet metal repairs and installations. We have a full metal fabrication shop in-house to support field installations.

Requirements for this Position

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Organizational ability and systematic reliability

Beneficial additional Licenses/Certifications include Relevant Interprovincial Tickets in Plumbing, Gas A and/or B tickets, Electrical, Oil Burner, Controls and Sheet Metal.
