Grocery Store Clerk (NOC 65102)

Status: Permanent, full time (35-40 hours per week)
The opportunity
Grocery stores are more than places to shop, they are part of the rhythm of a community. At the Tatchun Centre, the Clerk helps support a store that residents, Elders, families, and travellers rely on every day.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys practical work, likes helping people, and takes pride in contributing to a business that matters in Carmacks.
What does your success look like?
- Customers feel welcomed and supported through friendly, respectful service.
- The store is clean, organized, well stocked, and easy to shop.
- Deliveries are received, unpacked, and stocked efficiently so products are available when needed.
- Promotional and seasonal displays are set up and contribute to a strong store experience.
- Daily routines, including cleaning, safety checks, and opening and closing tasks, are completed reliably and to standard.
What you bring to the role
- Experience in grocery or retail is an asset but not required - we will provide training for those willing to learn.
- A positive and helpful approach.
- Reliability to show up consistently and on time for shifts.
- The initiative to notice what needs to be done and take action.
- Good communication skills.

Requirements: Ability to work on your feet and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, reaching, and stocking. Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
