Position: Accounting Supervisor NOC 12011

Locations of Work: 14 MacDonald Road, Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Y1A 4L2.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $36.00 per hour.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week

Job Requirements:

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

Language: English

Security and Safety: Drug test and Criminal record check.

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years, supervision 3-4 people.

Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, Sage Accounting Software.

Duties and Main responsibilities:

  • Establish work schedules and procedures
  • Train workers in duties and policies
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improveproductivity and product quality
  • Ensure accuracy of fi nancial transactions
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
  • Examine and verify accuracy of work and authorize routine deposits and withdrawals
  • Supervise and train other staff in procedures and in use of current software
