Position: Director of Integrated Youth Services
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours/week
Salary Range: $34.00 – $36.00/hour

BGC Yukon is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to establish and lead Youth Integrated Services across the organization. This role is an exciting opportunity to build a collaborative system of supports that connects youth and families to the services they need, when they need them. Working alongside community partners, government, and service providers, the Director will lead the development of an integrated model of care that strengthens outcomes for youth throughout Yukon.
This role requires an individual who is strategic, relationship-focused, and passionate about improving the lives of young people through collaborative leadership. The successful candidate will guide the implementation of BGC Yukon’s Integrated Youth Services and Housing Supports initiatives while ensuring services remain youth-centred, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practice.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Youth Integrated Services will help shape the organization's future while building strong internal teams, developing community partnerships, securing sustainable funding, and ensuring exceptional service delivery throughout the agency.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director of Youth Integrated Services provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and organizational direction for all Youth Integrated Services across BGC Yukon.
The Director is responsible for developing and implementing the BGC Yukon Youth Integrated Services Framework to ensure programs consistently reflect evidence-informed practices, community needs, and organizational priorities. This position provides leadership to Youth Integrated Services staff while ensuring services meet BGC Canada standards, contractual obligations, and best practice guidelines.
The Director will lead the development of integrated service models that connect youth with mental health supports, housing resources, education, employment, wellness services, cultural programming, and other community-based supports.
This position is responsible for strengthening partnerships with community organizations, Indigenous governments, territorial departments, schools, health providers, and other stakeholders to enhance collaborative service delivery for youth and families.
The Director will oversee grant development, outcome measurement, reporting, financial management, program sustainability, and quality assurance while supporting the successful implementation and growth of BGC Yukon’s Integrated Youth Services and Housing Supports initiatives. The Director also provides leadership and supervision to the Food Coordinator, ensuring the successful delivery of BGC Yukon’s food security initiatives, including meal programs, community food projects, and related partnerships that support youth and families.
Director of Youth Integrated Services is responsible for:
- Participating as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in developing long-range strategic plans, operational priorities, and organizational policies.
- Providing leadership and oversight for all Youth Integrated Services in accordance with BGC Yukon’s Vision, Mission, Core Values, risk management practices, policies, legislation, contractual obligations, and BGC Canada standards.
- Leading the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of BGC Yukon’s Youth Integrated Services Framework.
- Supporting the establishment and ongoing development of Integrated Youth Services and Housing Supports initiatives.
- Building collaborative partnerships with community organizations, Indigenous governments, schools, health providers, funders, and government partners.
- Representing BGC Yukon on committees, working groups, and community planning initiatives that influence youth services.
- Leading grant writing, funding proposals, and stewardship of funding agreements.
- Collecting program outcomes, evaluating impact, and preparing reports for funders, donors, leadership, and BGC Canada.
- Developing and implementing annual operational work plans aligned with the Agency Strategic Plan.
- Under the guidance of the Finance Committee and Executive Director, developing annual operating budgets and monitoring expenditures to ensure responsible financial stewardship.
- Identifying opportunities for program growth, innovation, and sustainable funding.
- Leading, supervising, coaching, and mentoring Youth Integrated Services staff.
- Conducting recruitment, onboarding, performance management, professional development planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Creating opportunities for collaborative learning, reflective practice, and continuous improvement across Youth Integrated Services.
- Promoting organizational cultures that reflect Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (JEDIB).
- Ensuring services are trauma-informed, culturally safe, youth-centered, and responsive to community needs.
- Maintaining awareness of emerging trends, legislation, and best practices within integrated youth services.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and performance management to the Food Coordinator, ensuring food security programs operate efficiently, meet funding and food safety requirements, and align with BGC Yukon’s strategic priorities.
Qualifications
- Proven operational and administrative leadership experience including financial management, strategic planning, budgeting, human resources, program development, and community engagement.
- University degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Human Services, Psychology, Public Administration, or another related discipline. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Three to five years of progressive management experience within community social services, integrated youth services, or non-profit organizations.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and community partnerships.
- Experience with grant writing, proposal development, contract management, and outcome reporting.
- Strong knowledge of youth development, trauma-informed practice, integrated service delivery, and community-based programming.
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate.
- Valid Food Safe Level 1 Certificate (must be obtained within the first three months of employment).
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with access to reliable transportation (Class 4 Licence considered an asset).
- Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using databases and reporting systems.
