Location: Whitehorse, Yukon (Hybrid - combination of in-office and remote work)
Hours: 18 hours/week (3 days/week, 6 hours/day)
Wage: $30/hour
Schedule: Very flexible
Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the Yukon Fish & Game Association. This flexible, part-time role includes office administration, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, membership services, communications, and event support.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bi-weekly payroll
- Maintain financial records and assist with monthly reporting and GST filings
- Respond to member inquiries and maintain membership records
- Prepare reports and organizational documents
- Assist with website updates, email communications, and general office administration
- Provide administrative support for Board meetings, programs, grants, and special events
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems
- Perform other administrative duties as required
Qualifications
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail
- Experience with Quickbooks or a similar payroll system is an asset
- Experience in a non-profit environment is an asset
