About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Appraiser to join our team based in our Whitehorse office. This role involves conducting professional valuations of a wide range of property types, including residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, hobby farm, and acreage properties, in accordance with Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive appraisals of real estate properties throughout Yukon.

• Travel throughout Yukon and occasionally outside the territory to conduct property inspections and meet with clients.

• Prepare detailed appraisal reports that meet AIC standards and client requirements.

• Clearly communicate valuation findings to clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.

• Maintain current knowledge of market trends, regulations, and valuation methodologies.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, agriculture, economics, or a related field is preferred.

• Current enrollment in, or willingness to enroll in, the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) Candidate Program.

• Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in real estate appraisal or property valuation is considered an asset.
