Job Title: Finance and Administrative Assistant
Location: NGC Builders, Whitehorse, YTFull Time, Permanent (Part time considerations)

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a remote position. Candidates must be able to work on site.

Job Description:


We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Finance and Administrative Assistant to join our office team at NGC Builders LTD. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bookkeeping, including ensuring invoices are entered correctly into the accounting software (Quickbooks)
  • Provide administrative support to the project managers and construction team
    • Support coordination and organization of project documentation, including contracts, permits, and invoices
    • Go on supply runs, check mail and do bank deposits (having a driver’s license is preferable, but not a requirement of the position)
    • Maintain office supplies
    • Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
    • Assist with general office tasks, such as filing, copying, and data entry
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent;
    • 5+ years of experience performing finance and office administration functions, preferably in a construction or related industry
    • Experience performing office administration functions and/or reception services.
    • Experience handling financial transactions would be an asset
    • Possess Driver’s license (Class 5) (preferable)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and willingness to learn and develop
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping processes, and experience handling financial transactions is a plus
