Job Description:
Housekeeping represents the most integral part of back of house. We take pride in our hotel and are looking for housekeepers with experience who will meet our guests' expectations.

Job Tasks:
- Attend daily briefings and/or obtain daily check-ins/check-outs from Front Desk or housekeeping manager
- Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
- Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels & amenities
- Clean hotel rooms and apartments (condominiums) as directed
- Follow cleaning & disinfecting procedures outlined by supervisor
- Prepare and re-stock housekeeping carts
- Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies
- Use chemicals when needed and as directed
- Keep room amenities stocked and report storage stocks stock to supervisor
- Note discrepancies and damage in rooms and notify maintenance personnel
- Report and store lost and found items
- Work cooperatively with front of house staff to respond to guest needs
- (if assigned): work with Property Management System to add daily clean inventory OR communicate with Front Desk for clean & ready rooms
- During slow periods, assist in other departments as assigned & approved
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform the tasks assigned in a safe & effective manner, following safe job guidelines
- Perform daily duties within the time frame given, seek assistance if anything unexpected arises
- Follow all protocols put in place to protect environmental, staff and public health (for example: COVID protocols/guidelines)
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, throughout the shift
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- High School Diploma or Grade 12 equivalent
- Must be able to read charts & checklists
- Able to complete work in given time frame
- Attention to detail
- Able to work in a team with varying members
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning chemicals
- Experience in hospitality or janitorial an asset
- A combination of education, training and coursework may be considered to fill this position
