Canyon City Construction LP is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead operations across construction and gravel/aggregate business lines. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing operation while driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and advancing community-based economic development.

Reporting to the CEO of CNLP, you will provide executive-level leadership with full accountability for operational and financial results. You will lead a diverse and skilled team, champion a safety-first culture, and build strong relationships with clients, partners, and community stakeholders.

We are looking for a confident, hands-on leader who understands construction operations, financial performance, and business development. You bring both the practical expertise to lead in the field and the strategic mindset to scale operations and deliver meaningful impact.

WHAT YOU'LL DO – AT A GLANCE

This summary reflects key areas of responsibility and is not exhaustive.

  • Provide overall leadership for construction project delivery and gravel/aggregate operations
  • Lead project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to specification
  • Oversee operational planning, budgets, and full P&L accountability
  • Drive business development, including bids, proposals, and client relationship management
  • Establish and monitor operational KPIs, production targets, and cost controls across divisions
  • Provide senior leadership on safety, ensuring full compliance with Yukon OH&S legislation
  • Recruit, lead, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a strong safety-first culture
  • Collaborate with the CEO on strategic planning, capital deployment, and growth initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and community stakeholders


WHAT YOU BRING

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the construction industry, including senior leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial performance and P&L accountability
  • Strong operational leadership in construction, civil, or resource-based environments
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain teams
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and project delivery frameworks
  • Familiarity with Yukon legislation and safety programs
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years

Preferred:

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Project management certification (PMP, Gold Seal, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with Indigenous organizations or development corporations

WORKING CONDITIONS
