Position Title: Barista (NOC 65201)

Baked Cafe and Bakery is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Full-time Barista to join our team.

Number of Positions Available: 1

Term of Employment: Permanent Position, Full-time, 40 hours per week

Business Location: 100 Main Street suite 108Whitehorse, YTY1A 1A3

Wage: $21 per hour

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, along with baked goods.
• Greet customers, take food and beverage orders, and provide excellent customer service.
• Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers.
• Serve customers at counters.
• Use equipment to prepare hot beverages such as coffee and tea specialties.
• Portion, assemble, wrap, and package food for dine-in and take-out customers.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other beverage preparation equipment.
• Clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances.
• Receive payments and operate the cash register.
• Stock refrigerators and keep records of the quantities of food used.
• Maintain inventory records of food and beverage supplies.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, equipment, tables, trays, and dining areas.
• Bring clean dishes, eatware and other items to serving areas and set tables.
• Remove dishes before and after courses.
• Replenish condiments and other customer service supplies in serving areas.
• Perform other duties such as scraping and stacking dishes, carrying linen to and from laundry area and running errands.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

Language

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• Previous barista or food service experience is an asset.
• Training will be provided to the right candidate.
