Maintenance Technician (Whitehorse)
We shape, build, and connect the North. We do this by anchoring our work in Drive, Rigour, and Kindness – ambition in what we pursue, discipline in how we deliver, and respect in how we lead.
The Opportunity
Northern Vision Development owns and operates a diverse portfolio of properties across the Yukon, including commercial, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and seniors living assets. This role supports that portfolio on the ground in Whitehorse, helping keep buildings safe, functional, and well maintained through responsive day-to-day repairs and preventative maintenance.
No two days look exactly the same. One day might have you responding to a tenant repair, adjusting a door, or clearing a site safety issue; the next could take you through one of our hotels, a residential building, or a commercial property handling the practical work that keeps the place running well. This role is a fit for someone who likes variety, takes pride in solving problems, and wants to see the results of their work every day.
What Does Your Success Look Like?
- Work orders are completed promptly and repairs are done right the first time.
- Tenants receive timely and reliable service.
- Properties remain safe and functional because hazards and maintenance issues are addressed quickly.
- Preventative maintenance reduces breakdowns and unexpected repairs.
- Seasonal risks, including winter conditions, are managed proactively to keep sites safe and accessible.
- The team can rely on you to show up, work safely, follow through, and support day-to-day property needs.
What You Bring To The Role
- Experience performing general building maintenance and basic interior and exterior repairs.
- Strong practical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues, tenants, and contractors.
