Reporting to the Executive Manager, the Policy Analyst ensures effective administration of processes and procedures of TTC and develops, monitors and evaluates TTC policy. This position also develops processes for policy approval and implementation. A remote-work situation may be considered.

Education & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in First Nation Governance, Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field combined with experience working with First Nations governments, preferably at a senior level
  • Sound knowledge of First Nation governance structures and processes and program requirements
  • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures: research, analysis, consultation, synthesis of complex issues; collaboration and consultation with stakeholders; communicate options and policies in writing
  • Knowledge of the Strategic Plan
  • Knowledge of TTC Final Agreement
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis and synthesize large amounts of information and documentation
  • Oversee the development, approval, dissemination, and evaluation of all policies within TTC;
  • Identifying and managing ad hoc projects that were not anticipated in the formulation of annual work plans, ensuring that the projects are organized to flow efficiently and to completion;
  • Liaise with the legal team, other departments, committees, and contractors to ensure policy alignment and compliance.

Main Duties
