Summary
Northern Vision Development (NVD), one of the North’s most dynamic hospitality and real estate companies, is seeking an Intermediate Accountant who thrives in a complex, multi-entity environment. This role is hands-on, analytical, and central to the accuracy of NVD’s financial information across hotels, commercial and residential properties, and development projects.

What Does Your Success Look Like?
- Fixed assets are accurate and up to date, with clean capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
- Development project costs are reliable, well-documented, and correctly classified.
- Balance sheet reconciliations are complete each month, with discrepancies addressed quickly.
- Month-end and audit cycles move smoothly because your schedules and support documents are organized and error-free.
- Bank accounts across all entities reconcile accurately, without delays or outstanding issues.
- GST/HST and PST filings are submitted on time with zero compliance concerns.
- Accounting processes improve over time through practical efficiencies you identify and help to implement.
- Operational teams receive accurate financial insight that helps them make informed decisions.
What You Bring to The Role
- Considerable accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP and ASPE.
- Experience with fixed assets, project cost tracking, or intercompany transactions is an asset.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial systems.
- Power BI experience is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
