Summary

Northern Vision Development (NVD) is seeking an Innkeeper to co-lead daily operations at the Bedrock Motel. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, independence, and meaningful connection with people. You’ll take ownership of the guest experience- keeping rooms guest-ready, assisting travelers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

The Motel is jointly owned by NVD and the Na-Cho Nyäk Dun Development Corporation (NNDDC), representing a strong partnership rooted in economic reconciliation and community investment within the Traditional Territory of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun (FNNND). This position carries special significance in supporting local employment, maintaining hospitality infrastructure and contributing to community presence in Mayo.

A long-trusted stop for travelers, contractors, and adventurers, the Bedrock Motel is known for comfort, friendliness, and local pride.

What Does Your Success Look Like?

  • Guests feel at home the moment they arrive - You create a welcoming environment that leaves travelers feeling cared for and confident they chose the right place to stay.
  • Operations run seamlessly every day - Reservations, check-ins, and reporting happen on time and without issue - guests notice the professionalism, not the process.
  • Rooms and spaces reflect pride of place - Every room is spotless, every detail checked, and the property reflects the same care you’d give your own home.
  • You keep the property humming - Small repairs are handled promptly, larger maintenance is coordinated smoothly, and the grounds always look inviting.
  • Guests remember the people as much as the place - Your friendliness and consistency turn one-time guests into repeat visitors and positive reviews.
  • You are an ambassador - You engage positively with community members, local partners, and visitors - strengthening the connection between NVD, NND, and the town you represent.
  • The business stays strong and accountable - Budgets, reporting, and communications with head office are accurate and timely, helping the whole NVD team stay aligned.
  • You’re part of something bigger - You strengthen NVD’s reputation for dependable hospitality in Yukon communities and contribute directly to local success.

What You Bring to The Role
