JOB DUTIES – BAKER (NOC 63202)

Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, muffins, cookies, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes

Bake mixed dough and batters in ovens

Prepare frostings and decorations for cakes and baked goods

Ensure quality control of products before serving or packaging

Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, and other baking equipment

Monitor oven temperatures and baking times

Operate and maintain baking equipment

Develop production schedules to meet customer demand

Maintain inventory of baking supplies and order ingredients as required

Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and tools

Train and supervise kitchen helpers when required

Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety
