Overview
We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality care and education while supporting children's growth, development, and well-being in a safe and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs and activities based on children's interests, strengths, and needs.
  • Observe, document, and assess children's development to support individual learning goals and program planning.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development.
  • Collaborate with families to share information about children's progress and support their learning and development.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality care and education.
  • Support children in developing self-help, social, emotional, and self-regulation skills.
  • Maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, licensing requirements, health and safety standards, confidentiality policies, and child protection procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing learning initiatives.
  • Assist with daily routines, including meals, outdoor play, rest periods, and transitions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Early Childhood Educator Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification
  • Experience working with young children in a childcare setting
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Valid RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Doctor's Note confirming fitness to work with children
  • Current TB Test
  • Copy of Immunization Record
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Passion for early learning and child development

Wage depends on Childcare Level

Range $22.63 to $33.82 (Nlaye Enhancement after 1 year)
