Power Generation Technician – Heavy Duty Mechanic / Electrician Position

Put Put Contracting Inc. is seeking a Power Generation Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of diesel power systems at remote locations in the Yukon & Northern, BC. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience with diesel generator sets.

Responsibilities

• - Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on diesel generator sets.
• - Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• - Maintain fuel systems, switchgear, and control systems.
• - Conduct load testing and performance monitoring.
• - Maintain accurate service records.
• - Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• - Support additional site infrastructure systems as needed.
• - Travel by road and helicopter to remote microwave towers

Qualifications

• - Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, Electrician, or equivalent experience.
• - 3–5 years of diesel generator experience.
• - Consideration will be given to Heavy Duty apprentices.
• - Strong electrical and control system knowledge.
• - Ability to work independently in remote environments.
• - Valid driver’s license.
