On-Site Nanny
This role is intended to provide an extra set of hands during the day, allowing parents to focus on work while remaining actively involved and nearby.
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced On-Site Nanny to provide daytime care for our infant child in Whitehorse. This role is focused on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment while supporting the daily routines and developmental needs of a young baby.
This is primarily a daytime position, with parents working nearby and available throughout the day as needed. We are looking for someone who is patient, attentive, and passionate about infant care, and who will become a trusted part of our family's support system.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for one infant
- Follow established feeding, napping, and daily care routines
- Prepare bottles and infant meals as appropriate
- Change diapers and maintain proper hygiene practices
- Engage in developmental activities that encourage learning, sensory exploration, and healthy growth
- Monitor and support the infant's physical, emotional, and developmental milestones
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery, play area, and infant-related items
- Wash and organize baby bottles, dishes, and infant laundry
- Accompany the infant on walks and outdoor activities as appropriate
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding feeding schedules, naps, milestones, and any concerns
- Ensure the infant's safety and well-being at all times Position Details
- Primarily daytime hours, Monday to Friday (schedule to be discussed)
- Care for one infant child
- Parents work nearby and are readily available when needed
- Long-term position preferred

Qualifications
- Previous experience caring for infants in a nanny, childcare, daycare, or similar role
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification (Infant CPR preferred)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Strong understanding of infant development, feeding, sleep routines, and safety practices
- Patient, nurturing, reliable, and trustworthy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
