Yukon Learn Society (YLS) is seeking a Foreign Credential Recognition (FCR) Employment Coordinator to support internationally educated healthcare professionals (mainly nursing professionals) as they pursue employment opportunities and workforce integration within the Yukon healthcare sector.
As the FCR Coordinator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for participants in Yukon Learn's Foreign Credential Recognition initiative. You will provide participant support, coordinate: workshops, mentorship opportunities, tutoring services, and employment readiness programming while helping internationally educated healthcare nursing professionals navigate employment pathways and workplace expectations in the Yukon.
Working closely with project partners, healthcare experts and sector stakeholders, you will help create a supportive and welcoming environment that empowers participants to build confidence, strengthen employment skills, expand professional networks, and pursue meaningful careers within the Yukon healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate participant intake, onboarding, and ongoing support services.
• Maintain participant records, tracking systems, and program documentation.
• Coordinate workshops, training sessions, and employment readiness programming.
• Support participant referrals, service navigation, and follow-up activities.
• Coordinate mentorship opportunities with healthcare professionals and community partners.
• Coordinate tutoring supports related to workplace communication, employment readiness, and licensure preparation.
• Assist with workshop logistics, registrations, attendance tracking, and evaluation activities.
• Support participant communications and engagement activities.
• Collaborate with project partners, healthcare stakeholders, and community organizations.
• Assist with program reporting, data collection, and administrative requirements.
• Support the development and refinement of participant resources and program materials.
• Facilitate employment readiness workshops and activities as required.
• Participate in yearly fundraising activities.
Qualifications:
• Experience in program coordination, participant support, community programming, or workforce development.
• Experience working with newcomers, diverse populations, or cross-cultural environments.
• Knowledge of healthcare employment pathways or the Yukon healthcare sector is considered a strong asset.
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience facilitating workshops, group activities, or employment-related programming is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general digital technology.
