Capital Appraisals is a locally owned and operated real estate appraisal firm serving communities throughout Yukon and Northwest Territories. We provide professional property valuation services for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. With a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and client care, we’re proud to support informed decision-making across northern Canada.

As we grow, we’re looking for a reliable and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. This is a key role supporting both our appraisers and clients.

Role Overview

The Administrative Assistant will manage incoming appraisal requests, schedule property inspections, and support the day-to-day operations of the firm. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and play a critical role in ensuring our workflow runs efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and review new appraisal orders via email, phone, and web platforms

  • Communicate with clients, property owners, and realtors to gather required information

  • Schedule inspections and coordinate appraiser calendars

  • Create and manage appointment confirmations and reminders

  • Maintain organized digital records using Google Drive, OneDrive, and ANOW

  • Prepare basic documentation and templates for appraisal reports

  • Respond to client inquiries professionally and promptly

  • Monitor project timelines and follow up on outstanding items

  • Support invoice creation and payment tracking

  • Ensure privacy compliance and secure handling of sensitive information

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative, scheduling, or client service role

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and database systems

  • Experience with ANOW or similar appraisal/order management software is an asset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • High level of discretion and professionalism with client information

  • Knowledge of real estate or appraisal processes is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is helpful but not required
