Request for Proposals: Visual Artist(s)
Introduction
The Yukon Status of Women Council (YSWC) is seeking a Yukon-based artist or various artists to create or provide access to existing pieces for two resources:
- Botanical themed, Yukon-specific cover page and small artistic elements for a report on abortion access in the Yukon;
- Cover page and small artistic elements for a guidebook supporting families who are involved with Family & Children’s Services and have had children removed from their care.
Candidates are welcome to apply for one or both opportunities, with budget and timeline adjustments as appropriate. All forms of visual art are encouraged including, but not limited to collage, photography, painting, or sketching. Imagery that includes human figures will not be considered. Full credit will be given to the artist in the final publications or they may remain anonymous, based on their preference.
It is not expected that applicants will create new pieces for the proposal, but rather submit examples of similar works and describe your vision for what you will create.
If you have previously created art you would like to submit for consideration, this is also welcome.
Each project has a budget of up to $750.
The work is to be fully completed no later than July 31st, 2026.
