The Council of Yukon First Nations Family Preservation Support Workers provide practical assistance and wrap around care and support to Yukon First Nations families seeking support, or, residing at one of CYFN’s supportive programs.
CYFN is currently accepting applications for various Family Support Worker positions:
- Family Preservation Support Workers: Providing information about community services and making referrals; liaising with Yukon First Nation governments and Yukon Family and Children’s Services staff to ensure that First Nation families receive the services they need for a healthy, functioning family.
- Family Preservation Wellness Centre Support Workers: Supporting Yukon First Nations’ women and families experiencing violence, homelessness, substance use, and mental health struggles. This team works to empower residents through skill building and guide them towards stability and self-sufficiency.
- Auntie’s House Family Support Workers: Supporting children in a home like setting. This includes; preparing meals, transportation, assisting with schoolwork, cleaning, and providing nurturing, grounded emotional support.
Screening Criteria: High school education or equivalent, with relevant post-secondary training and/or equivalency obtained through course work and/or work experience. A minimum of one year experience working in a social services environment.
Salary: Level 7 : $71,198.71 - $89,008.45
