Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate is skilled in all aspects of carpentry, works well independently, and can mentor apprentices or labourers on site. You’ll be working on a variety of projects, including framing, finishing, renovations, and new builds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all phases of carpentry, including framing, formwork, finishing, and renovations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood and wood substitute materials.
  • Install doors, windows, cabinets, stairs, mouldings, and other fixtures.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
  • Ensure work meets PCR Construction’s quality standards and project timelines.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and promote a safe worksite.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ carpentry experience (journeyperson or apprentice level).
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
