Walker Home Construction | Yukon (Remote Sites)

Walker Home Construction is seeking a reliable and skilled Camp Cook to support our remote construction camps across the Yukon. This role is responsible for preparing nutritious meals for crew members while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment. Travel and out-of-town work are required. This position works 3 weeks on, one week off.

We build residential and multi-family housing in communities throughout the Yukon and rely on strong camp support roles to keep our teams healthy, safe, and productive.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals for camp crews

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning

• Ensure food is cooked, stored, and served in accordance with food safety standards

• Monitor inventory, estimate food requirements, order supplies, and pick up groceries

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including daily cleaning and sanitizing

• Follow all health, safety, and camp protocols

What You Bring

• Previous experience as a cook or in a similar food service role

• Valid Food Safe Certification

• Strong understanding of food handling, preparation, and safety standards

• Excellent time management and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract

• Willingness to work out of town and in remote camp environments
