Walker Home Construction | Yukon (Remote Sites)
Walker Home Construction is seeking a reliable and skilled Camp Cook to support our remote construction camps across the Yukon. This role is responsible for preparing nutritious meals for crew members while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment. Travel and out-of-town work are required. This position works 3 weeks on, one week off.
We build residential and multi-family housing in communities throughout the Yukon and rely on strong camp support roles to keep our teams healthy, safe, and productive.
What You’ll Do

Prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals for camp crews

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning

Ensure food is cooked, stored, and served in accordance with food safety standards

Monitor inventory, estimate food requirements, order supplies, and pick up groceries

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including daily cleaning and sanitizing

Follow all health, safety, and camp protocols
What You Bring

Previous experience as a cook or in a similar food service role

Valid Food Safe Certification

Strong understanding of food handling, preparation, and safety standards

Excellent time management and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills

Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract

Willingness to work out of town and in remote camp environments
