WOODSHOP LABOURER

Job Brief:

We are looking for a woodshop worker to participate in our growing operations and activities. Woodshop responsibilities include fabrication of core boxes, stakes, survey lath, miscellaneous specialty projects, and maintaining a clean and organized working space. Basic carpentry skills or previous warehouse experience would be considered an asset.

Workers can expect a competitive wage increase as well as a production bonus starting immediately.

Description and Duties:

• Cutting wood materials for core boxes, stakes, survey lath, and other projects
• Building core boxes, “tipping” stakes and survey lath, and bundling and palletizing product at a pace that meets or exceeds company standards.
• Following all safety procedures & best practices especially when operating tools
• Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize woodshop and/or warehouse procedures
• Keep the shop clean, well maintained, and organized
• Other duties as required by management

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must be organized and able to work with deadlines
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive tasks
• Follow all safety procedures and wear necessary PPE
• Able to work alone and efficiently
• Must be punctual and maintain a healthy attendance record
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Have a valid clean drivers license
• Overtime is mandatory when required by Management
