About the Role

As a Level 2 IT Support Technician, you will support a wide range of client environments and provide timely, professional technical assistance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with different technologies, supporting clients directly, and growing within a fast-paced MSP environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, cloud services, and endpoint-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, operating system, and user access issues.
  • Support Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux/Unix, and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Assist with setup, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers, and related equipment.
  • Support and maintain client infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and endpoint management tools.
  • Diagnose system errors, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Repair or replace hardware components when required.
  • Support retail point-of-sale systems and related business technology where applicable.
  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Level 3 support while collaborating with senior technicians.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, ticket notes, client records, repair procedures, and inventory details.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients.
  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of internal support processes, documentation, and standards.
  • Travel to client sites within and outside Whitehorse as required.

What We are Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy MSP environment.

Required skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of MSP or IT support experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Windows environments, and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Familiarity with macOS, Android, iOS, and Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Experience with endpoint management tools.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and configurations, including VPNs, firewalls, and VLANs.
  • Familiarity with RMM and ticketing systems.
  • Ability to write or understand scripts using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with computer hardware repair and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Ability to use hand tools for hardware repairs and diagnostics.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract.
  • Ability to lift 20–30 pounds as needed.
  • Regular travel to client sites within and outside Whitehorse may be required.
  • Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, or related certifications are considered an asset.
