As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced FOH Manager to lead our front‑of‑house operation while upholding the high standards that define our brand. In this role, you will oversee daily service, manage staff performance, maintain inventory and cost controls, and ensure an exceptional guest experience rooted in Yukon hospitality. You will also support menu execution, coordinate catering services, and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

· Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate front‑of‑house activities to ensure smooth service, consistent BBQ food quality, and an exceptional guest experience aligned with Smoke & Sow’s brand.

· Determine dine‑in, takeout, and catering services to be offered and establish operational procedures that support efficient workflows in a high‑volume BBQ environment.

· Lead hiring, onboarding, and skills development for servers and support staff, ensuring strong knowledge of menu items, smoked meats, and hospitality standards.

· Prepare staff schedules, assign daily duties, and monitor performance to maintain service consistency during peak hours and seasonal fluctuations.

· Oversee inventory of beverages, and supplies; monitor revenues; and adjust procedures or pricing to maintain profitability while minimizing waste.

· Address customer feedback promptly and ensure compliance with Yukon health, safety, and food‑handling regulations.

· Negotiate with local and regional suppliers for meats, produce, beverages, and operational supplies, ensuring cost‑effective purchasing and reliable delivery.

· Arrange catering services and manage client bookings for private events, community functions, and off‑site BBQ service, ensuring all requirements are met.

Skills & Knowledge

· FOH management — Strong ability to plan, organize, and oversee daily FOH operations in a fast‑paced BBQ restaurant environment.

· Food safety and sanitation knowledge — In‑depth understanding of Yukon food‑handling regulations, sanitation standards, and safe meat‑smoking practices.

· Staff leadership and supervision — Proven ability to recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate staff while maintaining high service standards

· Inventory and cost control — Skill in managing inventory of meats, ingredients, beverages, and supplies; monitoring food costs; and reducing waste

· Customer service excellence — Ability to resolve customer concerns professionally and maintain Smoke & Sow’s reputation for friendly Yukon hospitality.

· Supplier negotiation — Experience sourcing and negotiating with local and regional suppliers for meats, produce, and operational materials

· Catering and event coordination — Knowledge of planning and executing catering orders, private events, and off‑site BBQ service.

· Menu and pricing strategy — Ability to analyze sales trends, adjust pricing, and support menu development based on customer demand and cost factors.

· POS and restaurant software proficiency — Familiarity with POS systems, inventory software, and digital order‑management tools.

· Health & safety compliance — Knowledge of workplace safety standards, hazard prevention, and emergency procedures.

· Communication and interpersonal skills — Strong verbal and written communication skills for staff coordination, customer interaction, and supplier relations.

· Problem‑solving and decision‑making — Ability to make quick, effective decisions during peak service and operational challenges.

· Time management and multitasking — Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a high‑volume environment.


Requirements:

Proficiency in English

Education: A college diploma in business or a related field.

Experience: 1 years to less than 2 years
